Job Description
We are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation.
If you have a knack for customer service and interested in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks, answering phones, and booking reservations
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their payment
- Register and check-in guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, amenities local attractions, discounts, and events.
- Respond to guests and clients’ in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations
Requirements and Skills:
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role is a plus, but not required.
- A basic understanding of how travel planning websites operate.
- Customer service attitude.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High School and college students welcome.
- Excellent wages + commission.

AmericInn by Wyndham located in St. Ignace, MI open seasonally from May to end of October 2024. Full-time or part-time may apply.
This is an hourly position for work related to running our front desk area.
Responsibilities include answering phones, booking reservations, helping guests with questions, and checking guests in and out.
Our location has easy access to all local attractions and a quick commute to local activities & events in the Mackinac Straits area.
Guests love our private beach, big indoor pool/spa area, and complete dry sauna. We’re located right on the Lake Huron shoreline, all our rooms overlook Mackinac Island and the Straits Area. The sunrises are spectacular!
